Dallas says:
Today Dallas said to me, "Where's Daddy?" I replied, "At work." Then he said, "AGAIN!? Aweful!" It was so funny!

Dallas says:
I asked Dallas what the magic word was to open the door. He replied, "Dreams Come True!" If you've been to Disney lately and seen the show in front of the castle you would know that's what the magic word is that the audience has to say. I guess you can tell we've been to Disney one to many times...Ha ha!!
Just hangin' with my boys
While Boston was a school today Dallas and Asher and I were hanging out. I got out the Flarp stuff and Dallas went crazy with it. He loved how squishy it is. I think he must have played with it for about half an hour. What a great source of amusement for him!

Boston gets his cast off
Today was the BIG day! One my way to get Boston I was so focused on thinking about his cast coming off that I switched lanes and this lady was in my blind spot and we bumped into each other. There is now a big scrap down my car. She was very nice. So I gathered myself together and went to Boston's school to get him. I took him through the McDonalds drive thru and let him get a strawberry milkshake. He loved that! He said to me,"Mom, this is amazing! You have got to try it!"
He had a really rough time when he got it off. The tool they use is VERY loud and he did not like it at all! He was crying and struggling to let him take it off. He just wanted him to leave it on forever. I think he was also so nervous because when they took off the splint his arm hurt so bad because it wasn't healed that he was nervous it would be the same way.
Here's a shot of his arm after the cast was off. The blue part is whats holding the pins that are sticking out. They xrayed the arm and everything was healed very nicely and the doctor came in and said we can take the pins out!
Here's a shot of the pins in his arm. I was nervous it was going to hurt him very bad when he pulled them out but he reassured me it wouldn't. So we had him watch Transformers on Sean's phone. He cried with just the thought of what was going to happening. But it really didn't hurt him. We even got to keep the pins.
His arm is very stiff and the doctor said it would be a couple of weeks before he had full extension. He said he didn't need physical therapy and that if he doesn't have full extension after 2 weeks to have him hang from the monkey bars to help stretch it out.
Boston has been counting down the days, or I should say nights, until he gets his cast off. Each night and each morning he asks how many more nights he has to sleep with his cast on. I can only imagine how uncomfortable it must have been.
Here's Boston waiting excitedly in the waiting room.

Magic Kingdom
Magic Kingdom here we come. I wish I had counted how many times the boys have been here! LOL
Today was the first time Asher's been on the race cars and the big boys were so excited they would each be able to drive the whole time. Boston wanted to ride with daddy and Dallas with me.

Dallas on the air blower!
"To infinity and beyond!"
Waiting for daddy to bring us dinner at our favorite place to eat, Casey's Corner on Main Street. Yummy hot dogs and mini corndogs!
A friend of mine from UCF Theatre days was in town from New York, Frank Cardillo. We met up with him for a bit in the park. Funny thing about this photo is that Asher was leaning in to be in the picture.

Asher to Urgent Care
We ended up back at After Hours Pediatrics today with Asher. We were all playing in the front yard and while trying to get them all in Asher went to run away and Sean went to hold his hand not to run and when he did that he had what's called Nursemaid's Elbow happen. Here's what the technical lingo says about it:
Nursemaids elbow is an interposition of the annular ligament into the radial-humerus joint. The annular ligament normally passes around the proximal radius just below the radial head. With traction on the extended arm, the annular ligament slides over the head of the radius into the joint space and becomes entrapped.
Right after he pulled him he started crying a lot. Sean just thought he was upset because he had to come inside. But I noticed that he seemed to be crying a little different than normal and that he wasn't moving his left arm. I kept watching him and trying to get him to do things with his left hand like give me hi five or take a cookie. Sean's parents where already on their way to babysit for us so we could have date night. So much for that. As soon as they got there we headed with Asher to see what was wrong. Poor guy seemed to be in a lot of pain so I just held him on the way there. He couldn't use his arm at all. When we got to After Hours they put us in the same room we were in with Boston a few weeks ago. Ugh! Not again. And it's another left elbow problem!! Asher feel asleep on me while we were waiting and when the doctor came in we explained what happened and he knew right away what to do. While Asher was still sleeping he held his hand and his elbow and pulled the hand and right away it popped back in. He woke up and cried for a second but then seemed to be right back to his normal happy, laughing self. He was cracking everyone up! He even got two lollipops for it! He was happy for sure after that.
So we headed home and got everyone ready for bed and Sean and I went to the movies to see "Yes Man" and have dinner at the movies. We needed a good comedy that's for sure!!!!

Boston and Dallas: my budding photographers
Boston loves to grab my Nikon camera or my iphone and take pictures of everything. Many times I'm finding pictures that I know I didn't take and realize he had done them. Dallas also loves to grab his little camera and take picture of everything. Snapping away here and there. Here's a picture Boston took of me while I was editing some photos on a shoot I had done for someone.
And then here is a picture I drew for Boston, you can see I didn't get the drawing genes, but I tried my best. He wanted me to draw a picture of us together. He loved it so much he wanted to take a picture of it.

Happy New Year
Today I placed the marker where we buried Shiloh. I bought this very soon after I miscarried but it's taken me this long to place it where we buried her/him. It reads, "He hath made everything beautiful in his time. Ecc 3:16" For some reason it really made perfect since to me. For others it may not. But for me I know that He's made our 4th child "perfect in His time" and that he/she is in heaven running around and playing with a perfectly completed body, even though I only carried her/him for about 8 weeks.
It was an odd way to start out the New Year to many but for me it was me moving closer to understanding the whole miscarriage. I think with each month that goes by it seems to get a little bit harder. I thought it would only get easier. I guess each month I get a little "reminder" that I'm NOT pregnant and that's when I usually have the hardest moments. I know the reality of it all is that it was all in God's perfect timing, but it still doesn't reason out any pain that miscarring may cause. I do feel each month God is shaping me, He's growing me, and down the road I'll be a much better woman because of the hardships He's let me walk through. For sure the end of 2008 has been a rocky one for me emotionally. It seemed I kept stubbing my toe with something here and there. So I'm very happy to be starting this New Year!
We are moving closer to knowing what all the results are with Dallas. The neuropshycologist is leaning away from him being in the spectrum which would be AWESOME!!! Boston is getting his cast off on Monday and hopefully that will be all healed. And I'm on my way to being back to my old figure again! So things are looking up for 2009. I'm here and ready to face this new day!!
