Happy Easter

Easter pic 2010

I'm so glad that we went to service last night because this morning I woke up with a fever and a horrible sore throat. Boston ended up spending the night at the lakehouse with Wes and Suzanne. Wes asked him after church not thinking about the Easter Bunny coming, but Boston opted to just have us bring his basket so he could still spend the night. Dallas was so excited when he woke up that he ran to get Boston, but had forgotten he wasn't there. That was okay, he was more than willing to introduce the whole "look to find where the Easter Bunny hid the basket." The Easter Bunny usually gives written clues but opted to just have the kids find them this year.

After the boys went threw their Easter baskets we got dressed and headed out to the lakehouse to have and Easter breakfast prepared by Suzanne. We played on the beach and lake and hung out and enjoyed a very, very relaxing day. Sean and Wes even built their own huge slipe and slide they had going down the hill on the beach. Then they put a slide at the beginning of it. It was a huge hit with the boys!

I'm so thankful for Suzanne because I was feeling really, really sick and she managed to prepare most all the meals. Later in the day I finally checked my temp and it was at 102. No wonder I was feeling so horrible.

But the boys had a blast and mommy rested some and then we drove back home.

Grandpa Dale's 90th birhday party

Today we celebrated Sean's grandpa Dale's 90th birthday with all Sean's family. We had dinner at Bravo and everyone was there to celebrate.

Here is Sydney with her Great Grandpa Dale Uncle Bill flew in from Boston and it was SO great to see him!
Here's a group shot of everyone
Sean's Dad (Dale), Grandpa Dale, Aunt Nancy and Uncle Bill Grandpa Dale and his cake
Ellie helping out Asher enjoying some fun time with Uncle Bill. Asher's middle name is named after Bill, William.

Daddy and his girl
That's one big table people.
Ellie wanted to sit next to the boys of course. She's so precious
When I was born my grandma bought shoes from the same company with my name and date on them. The boys all got boy shoes and now Sydney has her very own Mary Janes with flowers and her name! Just in time for Easter. Thanks mom and dad!

Sydney in her Easter clothes. We went to Easter service right after the dinner. We did Saturday night service so we could take it easy on Sunday. The dress was a gift from my childhood best friend Amy with her initials on it. Tights are courtesy of Nena with ruffles on the bottom.

Egg Hunt 2010

This year we went to First Baptist Central Florida's Egg Hunt. Boston is playing Basketball here and it sounded like it would be a good time, especially considering they had 10,000 eggs!! The boys were VERY excited. Sean was pretty determined that we would find an egg with a number inside to win a big prize, that's the competative nature in him coming out. We never found one but had a good time anyway. (Many thanks to Michelle for the sling, it's really coming in hang daily!!)
Asher was all set to go with all three baskets

Boston was serious about finding his eggs
Dallas was smiling ear to ear looking
Asher couldn't wait to see what was inside

Spring Break!

Today to celebrate spring break we went out to the lakehouse for the day. Suzanne went with us and we had a great time. The weather was just perfect and the boys had a blast playing on the beach and in the water. It was Sydney's first time at the lakehouse and she partied hard in her carrier on the dock.

Mommy and Sydney....I don't have many pics of me and my girl since I'm usually the one behind the camera. (Clothing for Sydney provided by Suzanne and Jess....their signature design onesie from my baby shower "Social Butterfly"!) Sydney loved the lake
The lakehouse new cat, named Christmas since she arrived somehow there at Christmas, had kittens and they are about 4 weeks old now. Another good reason to come to the lake today because I was dying to meet them.
Doesn't she have amazing eyes!

And her 5 kittens
So lovable!!!!

Boston's first basketball game

Boston had his very first basketball game today. Unfortunately Sean and I had to miss it due to shooting the wedding. My parents took him. He has been so excited about the game for days. And he was so cute with his uniform on and ready to go this morning. His team is the Grizzlies and he loves when the team huddles up and yells "Go Grizzles!" During the game he would space out and look at the other games going on at times, which is so funny. He did manage to score once during the game and his coach even ran out on the court to hug him he was so excited. And the won the game! I'm really looking forward to his next game so I can watch.

Back to shooting

After a 6 week maternity leave I'm back doing photography again. I had a wedding today and I have to say I've been very nervous about leaving Sydney for a whole day considering she's so young and I'm nursing her. (I booked this wedding long before I ever got pregnant.) But all went well and without a hitch. I'm in the weeds editing the photos but here's a few preview ones (as you can see I'm still editing some details shots and haven't really gotten to the bride and groom pics.)
It did feel nice to be out and doing what I love! And Sean second shot for me and we work so well together. I love when we are able to work together, we just gel so well together. Now I just have fit editing in my crazy life with 4 kids!

Worm Farm

We had a homeschool field trip today to the worm farm out in Apopka. I never even knew such a place existed. The boys were super excited about it and Dallas got to go because he didn't have any school today at his preschool. Boston was very interested and excited to be there with all his friends. Dallas on the other had held back and wanted to sit with me. The room we were in was very small and there were lots of us in there so I'm sure that might have been a little overwelming for him. Asher of course was Mr Social but I tired to keep him close....and the while having Sydney strapped to me in a sling.

I only wish I could have heard all that our guide had to say....it seems pretty interesting...but I had to chase after Dallas and Asher most of the time.

Here the first room where they learned so much about worms.
WORMS! This was about the only time Dallas was interested at all the whole day
Boston making his own worm farm

now adding the dirt.....and finally the worms.Asher ran around, collected rocks and was just being silly I ended up giving Dallas my iphone so he would stop getting into trouble
Boston smelling Thyme
Asher hanging out with his buddy Lucas
And here is Sydney all snug as a bug in the sling. She slept the whole time thank goodness. But she's too big now for the sling, until she can sit up and I can carry her on my hip. I can't believe at 7 weeks she's already too big for this thing. But my girlfriend Michelle had sent me hers and I think Sydney is now just big enough for that one. Yah.
The homeschooling group. Although Boston is my only kid present in this pic. Dallas and Asher didn't want to be in it. Boston is standing behind the teacher.
