New Years Eve

Today we headed out to the lakehouse to celebrate New Years Eve out there. The boys were excited to get out there for sure. Only bummer is no playing on the beach because Boston couldn't get his cast wet.

As I'm writing this I can't actually remember the story behind the trumpet so I'm going to have to ask him that tomorrow! He gave Boston a few pointers and he blew it like a pro. It's actually very hard to blow I think. I was amazed he could do it. Then Asher wanted to try of course.

"Ohhh, the sound come out of here!" Dillard on her first boat ride...although poor dad couldn't get the boat to start. Something was wrong with it.

My big boys lovin on each other, very excited about the boat ride....that didn't happen

Before dinner we took the boys to the playground in Tavares that is all lighted up and just beautiful. They had a BLAST! We put the boys to bed and watched a movie with my parents and by 10pm Sean and I were just too tired to stay up until midnight and we turned in early. Thank goodness I did because Asher woke up at 5am!! (Boston took at picture of Dillard passed out in the kitchen. ha ha!)

The boys have enjoyed being out of school all week. They have rode their bikes A LOT. The new thing now is to put cones out and ride in the street, with mommy watching of course. Boston likes to pretend he's Speedracer and Dallas likes to be Racer X. Asher of course just likes to wander around or push a toy here and there. The boys have learned now when mommy yells "CAR!" they are to quickly get off the road.

Here's a photo of them before we headed out to ride around the neighborhood.

This is them racing on our "raceway"We also like to go down to our neighborhoods playground that's on Lake Hiawassee. We can play on the playground, ride the bikes in the roundabout, and watch all the skiers and wakeboarders that are always out doing tricks. I love the neighborhood we live in!

Here's Asher walking around at the lake Boston amazed at the wakeboarders

Snow in Florida

Well, not really. In Celebration, Fl (the little Disney city) they have snow fall nightly. Or what we might call "Florida snow" aka...BUBBBLES! But nevertheless, the kids love it! They all stand on the mainstreet and wait for it to come and they get so excited. We met Sean's cousin Laurie and her husband Mike and their daughter Ellie, cousin Johnny from NY and Aunt Nancy and Grandma Dorothy.

Johnny bought us all hot chocolate to get us in the mood even more, even though it wasn't cold at all out.Boston realizing this "snow" doesn't taste as good as "real snow" Asher wasn't too thrilled by the snow Boston covered in itAsher getting far away from the bubbles
Then we road the train, or what they call a train. The engine is really a truck decorated as a train pulling the passenger cars.

Right before we left Sean noticed a little boy crying and realized that he was lost. So he scooped him up and began looking for his parents. I got the police men standing close by and we stood there looking for the parents for what seemed to be a long time. The little boy was only about 3 2 or 3 years old. When he dad finally showed up he appoligized and said he's their 4th boy and he just wandered off. I thought to myself...gosh is that what happens if you have 4 boys! LOL

We saw all the beautiful houses all decorated with lights as we drove home. A very fun night!

Merry Christmas

The boys actually didn't wake up too early, around 7am. Boston was the first, who came into our room so excited, "MOMMY, SANTA CAME!!! You've got to see what he left us!" He is so fasinated with the fact that he comes to our house and brings gifts. Dallas woke up and was semi excited, he's still not feeling good at all. Boston and Dallas and Asher were most excited about the GeoTrax Airplanes and track they got. They sat right down to test it out.
Boston was also excited to find he got a guitar. He's been wanting one for sometime now.

The other big present was the lightsabars they got. Boston-red and Dallas-blue.

Dallas wasn't too into opening things again. He layed on the couch a lot of the time.
They were also amazed by the bike they got. Asher sat on his for a long time pushing all the buttons.

Boston was amazed at everything he got, and really enjoyed finding what was in his stocking. Dallas ended up going back to bed, poor guy, so sick. Asher liked playing with his toys, but also checking out all the ones the big boys got.

I cooked cinimmon rolls and we enjoyed those. Then I baked a brunch with sausage, cream cheese, cresent casserole, hash brown casserole and hotties (biscuits cut with and back with melted feta cheese and butter-a recipe from my Apples of Gold classs I've used countless times).

My parents came over and the boys showed off all the presents they got and they enjoyed brunch with us. It was so nice and relaxing.

Boston with the new bike Santa brought...Dallas has one too, I'm sure he'll ride when he feels better. I ended up sitting around Dallas a lot of the day. It was a forced relax Mommy moment. And nice to just have him lay in my lap and enjoy his company. He would sleep off and on all day.

Asher and his new rideAsher 19 months oldBostons 5 1/2 years old Dillard on her first Christmas with us! The Christmas cast...Santa signed it while Boston was sleeping. He was SOOOOO excited about that and shows everyone!
We played outside on all the new gifts and really enjoyed the beautiful weather. Dallas stayed in bed most of the day though. My parents came back over for dinner (Spagetti Casserole-keepin' it easy this year)
Then we celebrated the REASON for the season: Jesus Birthday. I made a red velvet cake and we sang Happy Birthday and blew out candles. Yummy!
Right after Asher had put his finger in the icing to get a taste.Dallas feeling good enough to blow out the candles, but not good enough to eat any of it, or anything else for that matter.
Then we all watched Alvin and the Chipmunks together. What a fun and joyful Christmas!

Christmas Eve Festivities

Tonight our neighborhood passed out white bags and we filled them with sand and candles and made luminaries. It was beautiful! Before we went out to light ours we gave each of the boys a present from under the tree, Wall E flashlights (appropriate right?) Then we all headed out to light our candles and walk around the neighborhood. It was really nice.
Then we put cookies and milk out for Santa and sprinkled magical oats (thanks to Carrie-oatmeal with glitter!) outside for the reindeer. And we also made sure to leave a Santa key so he could get in the house to put our presents under the tree since we don't have a fireplace.
We checked online to see where Santa had been and video catch by rooming reporters. They were so excited! So off to bed they went, no questions asked!

Then mommy and daddy had their work cut out for them! We finished around 12:30 and fell into bed.
