Boston's puppet show for Asher

Asher was crying as I was making dinner so I asked Boston if he would help make him happy and he decided to entertain Asher with a scarecrow I bought to add to a wreath. Asher loved it! Boston loved it as well. They were soooo cute. He must have done this for about 10-15 minutes. What a great big brother. Asher just adores him. Whenever either of the boys walk in the room he immediately turns toward them and always laughs at them. I am so blessed to have such loving and caring sons. They truly care for each other. We have never had an issue of jealousy with any of them. We mesh so well as a family and I thank God everyday for that.

Asher's 1st time in Exersaucer

Sean got the Exersaucer down from the attic and me and the boys got it all cleaned up from dust and Asher took it for a test drive. He didn't last too long in it. Seems like he like the Jumperoo better, but we'll see.

Pumpkin cookies

Today we made pumpkin cookies. The boys were so excited about it. They stood in the kitchen waiting until the buzzer went off telling us they were done cooking. Half the fun is the baking....the other half is the EATING!

It is so much fun cooking with them in the kitchen. There's this joy they have when they are cooking that makes all the mess and the slow process worth while. I'm really looking forward to cooking all kinds of holiday things this fall. It just makes me smile thinking of all the fun we are going to have.

Boston also likes setting the table. He even sets a place for daddy for all the meals, even if he's at work he still gets a spot.

Asher's first Zwieback

Asher tried his first zwieback today. He did eat very much at all but did enjoy trying to get it to his mouth. And what he did get in he sure was loving. Still working on his hand control. So funny to watch him try and get his thumb in his mouth. Until recently he tries to put his whole fist in his mouth, but this week he's really getting much better control and putting his thumb in. I wonder if he will be a thumb sucker. Boston used a pacifier he called "babo" and Dallas still sucks on his index and middle fingers on this left hand. So we'll see what Asher does....

Front yard playtime

Well it stopped raining for a while and we jumped outside to run around for a while.

This is where Asher sits a lot while the boys run around or ride bikes. He loves watching them. Sometimes our neighbors come out and he also loves the attention from them, and the big boys love showing off.
Boston was wearing his Peter Pan hat outside and I thought this was just the cutest picture of him. His face shows just how much he loves playing outside.

Why Blog?

Some of you may be wondering, why blog? Well for me personally I've always wanted to keep a journal, especially since I had kids. So I can remember everything that my brain can't remember anymore since I've had kids. But for some darn reason, as many journal books as I have, I never take the time to sit down and "write" in them. But I will go and type and upload pictures (of course pictures are my "thing"). So this is fun for me. Honestly I never really thought anyone would really read it. So it's great to hear when people have. Especially those friends and family that are far away. Keeps us a little more in touch.

What I plan on doing is publishing it in my own printed book annually to keep as a journal to remember what all we did that year. I use www.blurb.com to print all my books. Great prices. I just finished our family cookbook and I'll be posting a link to it after I unveil it at the reunion this weekend. (I looked to see what blog sites blurb supports and they listed these "We currently support Blogger, LiveJournal, TypePad, and WordPress.com, and will expand to other popular blogging platforms in the future.")

Asher's first time in Jumperoo

As I was switching out Dallas' clothes (packing 2t and some 3t for big 3t and small 4t) I thought I would try out the jumperoo on Asher and sure enough he is big enough! And boy did he love it. Of course the big boys were playing with legos but dropped them to come and play with Asher in it. They loved helping him bounce.

Rain rain ...bring on the rain

It's been raining a lot lately and I've been letting the boys play in it. (Otherwise we get crazy cabin fever). They just love running around, getting wet, jumping in puddles, and playing in the mud. Today they enjoyed playing with their new umbrellas (and it was a lot less clean up for me...Ya!)

The rain has made the weather a lot cooler. With the cooler weather (that means 80's for Florida!) and wind there is a feeling of fall in the air. And boy does it feel good. Makes me want to head up to the mountain house and see the leaves change color. This is my favorite time of year. I just love it! Sean got all the fall decorations down for me on Sunday and the boys and I had a great time putting them out! They love all the pumpkins, wanted to make their own pumpkin patch. We now have two big scarecrows and three little ones to represent the whole family. Ahhh...yes I know...you all love it.

Peter Pan and a Pirate too

We took the boys to Magic Kingdom today and had a blast. The boys always want to go on the People Mover first. Of course they call it Space Mountain, since you view space mountain on it. Then today I thought they would like to ride the Buzz Lightyear ride, we have never rode it before. And with their new obsession with Toy Story 1 and 2 I thought this would be perfect. But Boston was scared, he thought it would be too dark and too many aliens. So Dallas and Daddy went on it and he loved it. Then we saw Buzz out giving autographs, Dallas immediatly wanted to go say hi. He has no fear of the characters, Boston would rathe keep his distance. Of course I also remember bringing Dallas when he was very young and all the Princesses kissing all over him, he's always loved them all.

We also rode It's a Small World, another big favorite. Asher wasn't as interested, since he fell asleep waiting in line.
Captain Jack was there from Pirates of the Caribean and Dallas was very thrilled to meet a pirate (He's BIG on pirates right now). He took me to see him and then wanted to take daddy. Boston...not so much. While Dallas and daddy rode Pirates of the Caribean Boston and I shopped in the pirate store and he made the definate decision to be Peter Pan (He had talked about being a pirate for weeks but woke up this morning convinced he wanted to be Peter Pan...have no idea where this came from since they've only seen about 10 minutes of the movie weeks ago). So we got a Peter Pan hat and Dallas got a pirate hat and now mommy just has to sew the costumes. Boston wants Asher to be the Crocodile.

We also got to see Spectro Magic (the night light parade). Brought back a flood of memories from when I used to do it in college. I danced as a butterfly to start and then auditioned and got the role of Snow Queen and got to ride on a float. It was the best job I ever had! Just the music made me smile. Good times! And the boys thought it was great the mommy new Peter Pan and Captain Hook (I didn't tell them I was Snow Queen but that I knew them very well...I rode the float with Hook and Peter was walking next to me...funny!) But i did tell them I was a butterfly and they were in awe.


After watching fireworks in the car the boys fell asleep on the way home. What a fun day!
